Circle of Reference
We have a circle of reference and research advisory group that we call upon to vet our findings and provide medical and health endorsements. Here are some individuals we are currently working with:
Dr. Robert Cantu, M.A., M.D., F.A.C.S., F.A.A.N.S., F.I.C.S., F.A.C.S.M. –Chief, Neurosurgery Service (Research collaboration on MyoWorx® Concussion Treatment)
We started our relationship with Dr. Cantu back in the late summer of 2012. Dr. Cantu had agreed to the requests from some of his patients to try out the MyoWorx® Concussion Treatment here at MMTR. When the patients returned after a short stint of treatment and were feeling better, Dr. Cantu immediately contacted Terry Moore to find out what he was doing.
Since then, trainers knowledgeable about MyoWorx® treatment provided Level 1 training for Physical Therapists at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA. Emerson Hospital continues to develop its concussion treatment program under the direction of world-renowned expert, Dr. Robert Cantu, and maintains its relationship with MyWorx® as the first multi-focal site for the purpose of research and data collection.
Dr. Tom Borys, MD, PhD –Family Physician
Dr. Borys was first introduced to Terry Moore and MyoWorx® treatment through an Occupational Health Nurse and the rest as they say, is history. Dr. Borys is a Kitchener-Waterloo based Family Physician, who completed a PhD in Biochemistry before attaining his M.D. He is our Medical Director and has co-authored research projects along with Terry and the MyoWorx® team, including a study of the effects of the MyoWorx® approach on the function of seniors and as a treatment for post-concussion syndrome.
Dr. Lawrence Jones, BA DDS –Practice restricted to Orofacial Pain
Dr. Jones was first introduced to Terry Moore and MyoWorx® treatment through colleagues. Sharing the same desire to solve complex patient cases and to discuss the potential origins and causes of conditions made this another natural connection. For the past several years, MyoWorx® has been collaborating with Dr. Jones on numerous cases involving the jaw and other related issues such as sleep disturbance, neck pain, ear pain, headaches and post-concussion syndrome.
